DNAiTECH - Real-time Nucleic Acid Measurements System by DNAiTECH Gen2 and the Smartphone App
The DNAiTECH Gen2 system offers a revolutionary approach to real-time nucleic acid measurement, integrating with a smartphone app via Bluetooth for seamless operation. Its portability is enhanced by an internal Li-ion battery, making it suitable for field applications. The Gen2 device accommodates up to nine 0.2 ml PCR tubes with a clear top, and it covers a temperature range of 37-70°C, compatible with various isothermal amplification assays such as LAMP. This device automates essential processes from raw data collection to curve fitting and analysis after a simple setup. The Gen2 system is engineered for point-of-care diagnostics, adhering to global standards including the WHO ASSURED criteria, with the upcoming Gen3 boasting advanced microfluidic systems.
In 2024 we will release Gen3, our microfluidic system for POC applications. The Gen3 system will achieve the WHO ASSURED criteria for POC diagnostics.
The current commercial DNAiTECH instrument is the Gen2 system. The Gen 2 instrument can be used in the field with its internal Li-ion battery, it is a tube based system.
Using the Gen2 DNAiTECH system and the mobile phone is easy. The procedure is automated after the initial set-up phase, with little user input required from raw data collection to curve fitting and data analysis.
- The DNAiTECH instrument is operated via an app on the smartphone using a Bluetooth connection.
- The user can recall a previous program or establish a new program, defining the assay conditions, including reaction temperature, run time, initial delay settings, images per minute, the calibration concentration, and dilutions.
- The temperature range available is from 37-70°C. This temperature range covers all isothermal amplification assay methods.
- The DNAiTECH Gen 2 instrument allows for up to nine clear topped 0.2 ml PCR tubes.
- Check out the video below of a recorded DNAiTECH assay and the specific steps involved in the assay process.
