Geodata Germany - Version 28.01 -Databases with current georeferenced urban spatial data
Geodata Germany is an up-to-date database with the center coordinates of all German cities and municipalities and of districts, postcodes, area codes and administrative units. It contains tables with natural areas, landscapes, travel areas, snow and wind loads, solar radiation, precipitation amounts and more. All data can be assigned to cities and municipalities using the official municipality key. The geodata is georeferenced with terrain heights and coordinates in the UTM/ETRS89, GK/DHDN and Geo/WGS84 systems and is suitable for geocoding, data enrichment and radius searches. The geodata can be provided as text, CSV, SDF, dBase, SQL files with ASCII, ANSI, UTF8, Unicode character set.
- All tables updated to the data status January 1, 2024.
- New data fields "Sunshine duration" and "Precipitation amount" added.
- Solar radiation in w/m2 and in kWh/m2a.
- Snow load zones ">3" and ">3a" added.
- DHDN coordinates in degree notation and Google Plus codes added.
- Previously unincorporated areas added and landscapes supplemented.
Since 1991, KilletSoft has been offering geodata for the Federal Republic of Germany with georeferenced locations, districts, administrative units, postcodes and telephone area codes. Each data set is georeferenced and uses longitude/latitude, UTM and Gauss-Krüger coordinates with ETRS89 and DHDN datum, so that the data can be easily used and displayed on a map or imported into any GIS using the standard geographical formats KML, GPX and Sharp. From 2005, the database was supplemented with natural, landscape, climatic and tourist information, which can be linked to the above-mentioned database tables using indexes. The data is available with a uniform structure in the common CSV and GIS formats, which can be easily imported into any software and any DMS system. The geodata for Germany is available with the highest level of accuracy and up-to-date and is subject to constant quality control.
The database contains geodata from the Federal Republic of Germany in the form of tables with georeferenced locations, districts, administrative units, postcodes, telephone area codes, natural areas, landscapes, climatic and tourist information, as well as tables of official topographic maps. The database tables contain coordinates and elevation data for navigation and geocoding, for radius searches and distance calculations, and they are suitable for the spatial allocation of ecological and economic information. The information is stored in several database tables that can be linked to one another using the official community key.
