Tracking a variety of incidents quickly with IndustrySafe
A large selection of workplace incidents may need to be recorded each time they occur on a worksite, included near-misses, vehicle incidents, employee injuries and injuries to non-employees. The Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) is the regulatory agency that defines a number of scenarios in which work-related injuries must be recorded by employers, including those that result in death, restricted work activity, medical treatment or days away from work.
OSHA reporting also includes a variety of occupational illnesses, including respiratory conditions, skin diseases, poisoning or loss of hearing. When recording this information, employers must keep thorough records of each event`s characteristics. Data required by OSHA includes details on the nature of the injury, the part of the body that was affected, the potential source and event that caused the injury and the work absences or restrictions that may have resulted from the incident.
IndustrySafe`s easy-to-use incident form allows for the tracking and monitoring of each of these events, providing employers with a convenient way to record workplace incidents when they occur. Information on the employee, treatment and facility can be automated to speed the reporting process, and IndustrySafe allows managers to review previously reported incidents.
Generating OSHA Recordkeeping logs 301, 300, 300A with IndustrySafe
IndustrySafe`s incident module includes intuitive functions that allow safety coordinators to quickly enter and track incident data. By answering a few short prompts, managers can use IndustrySafe to quickly determine if an event is OSHA reportable. The incident management software will then add such incidents to the employers` 301, 300, and 300A OSHA recordkeeping logs, providing convenient OSHA regulatory compliance for each worksite injury or illness.
OSHA 301 log
The OSHA 301 log is an incident summary describing the who, what, when, and where of each OSHA Recordable Incident. OSHA requires an OSHA 301 to be completed 7 days after the incident is reported. An equivalent form can be utilized.
Safety Managers can easily generate this log from the incident module of the IndustrySafe Safety Software.
OSHA 300 log
The OSHA 300 logcontains a line item for each OSHA recordable incident and each location must have its own OSHA 300 log. For each incident, the OSHA 300 log must count the number of missed and restricted days.
IndustrySafe Safety Software automatically counts number of missed and restricted days for each applicable OSHA Recordable Incident. Safety Managers can easily generate the 300 log for single and multiple locations from IndustrySafe.
OSHA 300A Log
The OSHA 300A logis an annual summary of all OSHA Recordable incidents at each location. The OSHA 300A log of the previous year`s incidents must be posted for employees to view from February 1 to April 30th. Total Hours worked and Total Number of Missed and Restricted Days are included in this log.
IndustrySafe Safety Software automatically calculates total hours worked and total missed and restricted days for each location. Safety Managers can easily generate the 300A Summary log for single and multiple locations from IndustrySafe
