Many of today’s business applications rely on transcriptions of scanned documents to identify specific information to extract them. PLANET AI takes a different, holistic approach – beating the standard Optical Character Recognition (OCR) by lengths. Handwriting and typescript on scanned documents in all kinds of qualities become accessible for reading and structuring with outstanding accuracy. Our Textlayer supports many different languages and can export the output as PDF or JSON.

IDA SmartPDF contains an embedded PerceptionMatrix and metadata to enable intelligent processing for powerful full-text search, highlighting and extraction. Comprehensive APIs make it easy to integrate into any application.

Classification
Our new enhanced classification defines the next evolutionary step into a fully automatic assistance system. Classify incoming documents and send them back to your workflow quickly and accurately. By providing only a few tagged sample documents, the system recognizes significant characteristics and continues learning autonomously. Once trained, IDA Classification can categorize single pages or entire documents. Classified documents provide the foundation to automate processes – dramatically reducing manual input, the potential for mistakes and cost.

Extraction
Extract information from all your documents no matter where it is located or what form it takes. Intelligently identify documents, detect fields or expressions and automatically extract information without manually creating rules. IDA Extraction enables you to extract elements from running text, such as important dates from a contract, and sort them into pre-defined categories (Named-Entity Recognition). You can also extract key-value pairs and tables from forms, for better and faster decision-making (Key-Value Extraction). The IDA Extraction Assistant revolutionizes the machine learning process by creating training data and the trained AI module in one step. Results marked as “uncertain” by IDA can easily be verified or corrected with the Revision Assistant.

Dashboard
The IDA Dashboard allows you to organize and control system training as well as monitor processing times to generate performance statistics. Therefore, it is the perfect complement to your IDA features, as you can optimize and configure your personal PLANETBRAIN. The dashboard can be easily integrated into your specific IDA workflow.

Revision Assistant
Take the next step towards a 100 % accurate document workflow with PLANET AI’s Revision Assistant – an intelligent client for manual correction and validation. The user can correct possible errors before they enter the next module – improving the accuracy and efficiency of the entire workflow. The Revision Assistant functions independently and can be combined seamlessly with IDA workflows.

PerceptionMatrix
PLANET AI’s patented PerceptionMatrix provides the foundation for PLANETBRAIN and all our downstream IDA technologies. It processes input sequentially rather than as individual characters. This delivers performance that is dramatically superior to standard Optical Character Recognition (OCR) approaches regarding both accuracy and speed. PerceptionMatrix can be embedded in PDF output or exported to a database – enabling full-text search.
