ReSoft WindFarm - Wind Analysis Module

Three sets of data are required for the analysis:-

• time series data from the site containing wind speed and direction
• time series data from a meteorological station concurrent with the site data
• historical data from the same meteorological station as a time series or a frequency distribution table

The concurrent site and meteorological station data are analysed to determine the correlation between the two sets of data in each of a number of sectors around the compass. This correlation is then used with the historical data to predict the wind climate that would have existed at the wind farm site during that historical period. The MCP data is input using a series of dialogs that permit almost any form of time series to be read.
