AQUEDUCTOS - Software for Designing Potable Water Distribution Networks
AQUEDUCTOS is a sophisticated software tool designed for the efficient modeling and design of potable water distribution networks. Engineers and architects can streamline the process of designing pressure-based pipe networks, whether meshed, branched, or mixed, by leveraging this application's features. It integrates a demand localization tool, allowing users to automate the calculation and distribution of design demands to various pipe branches and nodes. The software also offers capabilities for designing water storage solutions, such as tanks, based on the defined demands. Additional features include the automatic selection of pipe diameters based on velocity criteria, calculation of storage capacity, and accurate estimation of construction costs through automated work quantity assessments. The program is compatible with EPANET files and can import/export data to ensure seamless integration into existing workflows. AQUEDUCTOS also offers compatibility with CLOACAS and DREN-URBA for comprehensive water management projects.
The professionals and SMEs of Engineering and Architecture that CARRY OUT the design of the water supply system to populations and, in general, to the different plots that make up urban sectors, require a computer tool that allows them to be more efficient.
Software for the Design of Drinking Water Distribution Networks
AQUEDUCTOS is our proposal for carrying out in a practical and intuitive way the design of the set of pipes working under pressure —whether in a meshed, branched or mixed network— as well as the storage of drinking water.
You will be able to avoid the tedium of having to calculate, manually or through spreadsheets, the design demands associated with the various household intakes that the set of pipes must serve, since we have implemented a Demand Location tool in the software.
In this way, you will only have to create the demand or point of consumption, locate it in the drawing area, on the map of the population to be served, and AQUEDUCTOS will be in charge of assigning it to the different pipe branches and nodes based on proximity and the selected demand distribution method.
In AQUEDUCTOS you will also find options to design the storage of drinking water —capacity of the tank, pond or reservoir— based on the demand information that you have defined for the population.
And if what you need is to determine the set point or resistance curve of the water supply network, you will see that you can easily create it and thus have the main input for selecting the pumping system.
