PLUMBERVersion 5.0 -Software for Water Supply System Design

SHARE

PLUMBER is a software engineered for the comprehensive design of water supply systems within buildings. Initially launched in May 2012, it facilitates precise calculations using methods like HUNTER's unit flow analysis, allowing users to tailor the software to meet national standards. This innovative tool supports both ascending and descending supply configurations, seamlessly integrating with AutoCAD through DWG/DXF imports for enhanced project modeling. PLUMBER aids in selecting essential components like pumps, pressure reducers, and tanks, optimizing project workflows by offering automated material lists and design documentation generation. With advanced hydraulic modeling, it calculates pressure and flow requirements, ensuring adherence to set parameters. The software's versatility is further evidenced by its capacity to import characteristic pump curves and utilize realistic simulation methods, enabling efficient, error-free design processes.

Design applying the HUNTER Method or, if you prefer,
with a Simultaneity Method

PLUMBER  allows you  to select between two Methodologies:

Using Expenditure Units (HUNTER)

Since its first version, published in May 2012, our software has been based on the HUNTER method (consumption units, furniture), allowing the user to specify in any case the values of Consumption Units per Sanitary Piece that the regulations of their country establish , in order to be able to determine the probable expenses based on the total expenditure units conducted by each section of the network.

Using Simultaneity Methods

PLUMBER will allow you to select between various simultaneity methods :

  • Calculation by Number of Pieces (Formula).
  • Specifying in a table the coefficient values based on the number of sanitary pieces.
  • Calculation According to Formula of Standard UNE 149.201

Create Supply Networks by Drawing or Importing them from Drawing Files (DWG/DXF)

With the PLUMBER Drawing area you can:

  • Import Drawing Files in DWG/DXF format from AUTOCAD®  (previous to or equal to version 2018) that you can use as a background and scale image in your projects.
  • Create the components of interior water supply installations by drawing them directly within the program, separating them by drawing layers.
  • View results directly on the drawing area through colors and messages.
  • Create networks by importing and converting graphic objects contained in a drawing in AUTOCAD® DXF or DWG format. In this way, the introduction of lengths, elbows, sanitary parts as well as the geometric configuration of the network will be error-free and will no longer be a tedious process.
  • Present Warning symbols (in the drawing area and in Node tables), which indicate anomalies such as inconsistent diameters and speeds outside recommended ranges, among others, thus allowing you to have a better understanding of the Sanitary Installation Design.
