Wavefront LIMS - Specification Management Module
Specification Management Module in Wavefront LIMS allows you to manage acceptance criteria for your laboratory’s testing, create Master Specifications that can contain multiple specifications, and add/edit analytes limits and rules associated to specifications. Specifications in Wavefront LIMS are specific standards or acceptance criteria with limits in which you are comparing your analytical results.
A Master Specification in LIMS is a container for specifications. This gives the ability to group multiple specifications together. The Master Specification is what is assigned to a work order or sample in LIMS.
Master Specification Hierarchy- Master Specifications do not contain limits or analytes. Analytes and limits are managed at the specification level. Any specification associated to a master specification can be found under the master specification in the left hand navigation tree.
Store Master Specification Information- Store information about master specifications in the predefined systems fields such as a description or status. You can also view the date a master specification was created, when it was last modified and the revision number. Create user defined fields to capture any additional information such as a memo field used to capture notes about the master specification.
- Master Specification History- Quickly view a grid with all master specification history
- Master Specification Instructions- Store master specification instructions that need to be communicated to other users or printed on a COA
- Master Specification Revisions- Easily revise master specifications. Revision numbers will increase by 1.
- Copy Master Specification- Create a new master specification in LIMS by copying an existing master specification and using that as a starting point
- Add and Remove Specifications to Master Specifications- Add a new specification to the master specification from starch, add an existing specification to the master specification, or add a copy of an existing specification to a master specification with a new name
- Deleting Master Specifications- LIMS allows you to choose between deleting the current revision of the master specification or deleting all revisions
- Master Specification Revision Report- This report allows you to view all past revisions made on a certain master specification
