Pisys Task Risk Manager is a cloud-based tool that will assist you in task based risk management. Recording risk is an important part of managing workplace safety, and being able to see the current state of critical risk data is crucial.
A Task based Approach to Risk
Task Risk Management is a useful way to integrate the principles of task analysis into a wider risk management process. We believe that there are significant benefits to taking a task based approach, prioritised around process safety risks. Properly implemented and supported by best in class tools, the way human factors and process risks are understood and managed can be significantly improved.
All data relating to risk and hazards can be captured at the worksite and is instantly available for review by HSE management. At the top level an activity can be defined which will then be split into job parts and steps associated with the task. This provides an accessible Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS).
Hazards associated with the job step can be defined alongside the severity and likelihood associated with the risk pre-mitigation. Controls (which are predefined in the system) are applied to mitigate the risk. Finally we set the post-mitigation likelihood and severity after controls are applied. Key external stakeholders can also be informed at critical points in the process without compromising any confidential data which is being managed internally.
