BabEng - Tunnelling Process Control (TPC) Segment Tracker
Having the ability to easily track segments throughout their lifecycles, from production through installation, is key in providing quality management and control of segmental linings on a project. With TPC Segment Tracker (TPC-ST) documenting the entire segment history is assured and secure. TPC-ST is an all-encompassing tool to simplify tunnel inspections. It offers a guideline for checking segment damage and allows direct entry of all information (including pictures) from inside the tunnel, even without Internet access. With TPC-ST you won’t miss a thing.
TPC Segment Tracker supports contractors and construction managers and site staff in locating segments, accepting deliveries, reporting damages and repair work as well as assigning segments to erected rings. All information is clearly documented and can be converted into required reports.
The system is based on data identification via scanner or RFID and photo documentation using mobile devices such as scanners, mobile phones and tablet computers.
In this way, all parties involved always have the same up-to-date information about the condition of the tunnel. Communication between all parties is improved, problems are solved faster, and this ultimately has a positive effect on your cost management.
All data that has been entered into TPC Segment Tracker via mobile units can be accessed and used for your advantage. Information about production, delivery, preparation and installation of segments or rings will be provided in clearly structured screens or reports. Follow-up on damage and repairs with pictures and comments. Lists and reports with key search and sorting functions can be easily generated to your choice.
