Wavefront LIMS - Test Management Module
Wavefront LIMS Test Management allows you to create new tests and manage existing tests to match the data you collect in your laboratory. Test Management is highly flexible and allows you to create user defined fields, add and edit analytes for tests, and assign specific LIMS users to tests.
Configure Tab: Lab Administrator
The Test Management section in the Configure Tab in LIMS is where a Lab Administrator goes to add new tests and edit existing tests. Along with system fields that are built into Wavefront LIMS, LIMS Administrators can create user defined test definition fields and test fields. These fields are useful to capture the entire work flow of the lab.
Form Section:

Test Definition Fields’ Functions– LIMS Administrator can add these fields on the Test Management Screen in the Configure Tab to capture information about a test that is specific to their lab:
- User Defined Fields you create that are specific to your implementation
- These properties do no change from Sample to Sample
- Classify tests for a certain purpose. Example: Create a field called “Department” and group tests together for reporting or searching purposes
- These fields only show up for LIMS Administrators when in Configure Tab
