Soil Stabilization

by Geo Products, L.L.C. - EnviroGrid Cellular Confinement (Geocell)     based in Houston, TEXAS (USA)

Problem: Poor load-bearing soils pose a significant problem for transportation and construction needs. Unpaved areas, such as access roads, paths, parking lots, driveways, etc can be highly vulnerable to near-surface shear failure and rutting, especially in moist conditions or areas with higher expected loads. Typically, engineers bridge over weak soils with rigid structures such as thick, reinforced concrete for roads and highways. However, such techniques are prohibitively expensive and inordinately difficult to install. The poorer the quality of the sub-base and the heavier the expected loads, the greater the amount and better the quality of support required.

Membrane filtration systems for food and beverage industry

by GEA Filtration     based in Hudson, WISCONSIN (USA)

The product knowledge we gained by this experience is indicated by the following list of products suitable for processing on a GEA Filtration membrane filtration system. These systems include microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis with either spiral-wound, stainless steel, ceramic, tubular, or plate-and-frame configurations.

Permeable Plastic Paving For Golf

by Ecogrid Ltd     based in Wallasey, UNITED KINGDOM

Ecogrid is known across Europe as Ecoraster as this is the direct translation. Ecogrid is known as Ecoraster and Stabiligrid in the USA and Canada. Ecogrid – Ecoraster should not be confused with products such as Netlon, netpave 25, netpave 40, netpave 50, adpave, hebden40, hebden401, hebden 402, geogrid, bodpave, bodpave 85, ecopaving. These products are not approved by nato or the TUV house and they do not have the patented Ecogrid Ecoraster locking mechanism that securely fixes the grids In place permanently.

Retaining Wall Construction

by Geo Products, L.L.C. - EnviroGrid Cellular Confinement (Geocell)     based in Houston, TEXAS (USA)

Problem: Retaining Wall structures are growing ever more necessary as construction is forced to deal with rough terrain, steep slopes, and embankment reinforcement. Changes-in-grade present obstacles for roads and other development requiring flatter, more usable land. Most current types of retaining walls are made of cast-in-place, steel-reinforced concrete walls whose virtue is based entirely upon its internal strength and rigidity. However, these cantilever walls are expensive, vulnerable to cracking from high stress situations, and unattractive in the environment.

Water measurement systems & sensors for rainfall intensity logging

by Isodaq Technology - Hydro-Logic Group     based in Bromyard, UNITED KINGDOM

ISODAQ telemetry systems are low-cost and very ease to use and configure, enabling you to bring your field data to your desktop PC without needing to operate complex IT infrastructure.

Slope Erosion Control

by Geo Products, L.L.C. - EnviroGrid Cellular Confinement (Geocell)     based in Houston, TEXAS (USA)

Problem: Soil particles are susceptible to being detached and carried away with concentrated runoff streams, forming rills and gullies that grow with time. The slope integrity is diminished, eroding the slope face and becoming a larger environmental and safety issue. Slopes steeper than the natural angle of repose for the slope materials require additional protection measures, as are slopes subject to more severe hydraulic stresses.
