This program has been designed to ensure the effective conduct and management of internal audits that include 2 or more management systems standards (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001). This training is intended to ensure those that complete the course are capable of conducting these audits and providing feedback to management on the effectiveness of these management systems. This course provides training in the principles and current interpretation of the requirements as related to each Management System Standard and the ISO 19011 audit guideline document. The intent of the course and examination are to provide students with a uniform interpretation of the standard requirements related to auditing of Management Systems, and to evaluate participants as potential auditors of Integrated Management Systems.

Scope
This course will be presented to current or future internal auditors of Integrated Management Systems. The course covers the subject matter content of the specific Management System requirements and the auditing practices as defined by ISO 19011.
Those who successfully complete this course will:
- Understand and implementation of the planning required to integrate audit activities across multiple management systems and
- Understand and successfully interpret the requirements of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001
- Plan and conduct Integrated Internal Audits based on ISO 19011
- Generate documentation associated with a successful Integrated Audit
- Use of effective opening and closing meetings to manage the communication process during Integrated Internal Audits
- Conduct Integrated Internal Audit interviews that generate audit evidence
- Ensure nonconformities are resolved prior to closing each audit cycle
