Asbestos Awareness Training
“Every employer must ensure that any employee employed by that employer is given adequate information, instruction and training” Asbestos awareness training should be given to employees whose work could foreseeably disturb the fabric of a building and expose them to asbestos or who supervise or influence the work. The Regulations’ Approved Code of Practice recommends that a refresher should be undertaken at least once a year. Most popular related searches

In particular, asbestos awareness training should be given to those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied construction trades where it is foreseeable that asbestos containing materials may become exposed during their work. This includes, but is not limited to:
- General maintenance staff
- Electricians, plumbers and gas fitters
- Painters, decorators, joiners and plasterers
- Demolition and construction workers
- Roofing contractors
- Heating, ventilation and telecommunication engineers
- Fire and burglar alarm installers
- Architects and building surveyors
- Shop fitters
Our UKATA approved asbestos awareness training course has been specially designed to promote awareness and reduce ‘accidental disturbance’ for anyone who may come into contact with asbestos materials during the course of their work.
