The purpose of the SAGD Bitumen Processing section is to produce clean bitumen mixed with diluent. The liquid bitumen is cleaned by progressively removing water, solids and gas vapours. The correct Sales Oil density is achieved by mixing diluent into the bitumen stream at each stage of produced water removal.
