The British Occupational Hygiene Societies (BOHS) P402 course ‘ Buildings Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos’ has been designed for those candidates who wish to train to become asbestos surveyors.

Regulation 4; of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (CAR 2006), places an explicit duty on the owners and occupiers of non domestic premises to have in place an asbestos management plan detailing where the asbestos materials within there premises are.

To enable the Duty Holder to satisfy their obligations, it may be is necessary for them to have a detailed asbestos survey carried out by a competent asbestos surveyor.

This BOHS P402 course is based on the requirements of CAR 2006 and trains the candidates to survey for the presence of asbestos materials in accordance with HSG 264; Asbestos: The Survey Guide.
