BOHS P405 course

Regulation 4; of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (CAR 2006), places an explicit duty on the owners and occupiers of non domestic premises to have in place an asbestos management plan detailing where the asbestos materials within there premises are.

To enable the Duty Holder to satisfy their obligations, it may be is necessary for them to have a detailed asbestos survey carried out by a competent asbestos surveyor, they made need to have asbestos removed.

This BOHS P405 course helps provide the practical knowledge and the skills to be able to manage asbestos in buildings and to provide a basic knowledge of asbestos removal procedures. The course is based on the requirements of CAR 2006 and makes it quite clear the legal responsibilities that are placed upon the ‘Duty Holder’ and their ‘Appointed Person’. Asbestos is a category 1 carcinogen and as such must be managed.
