Fundamentals of SOP Writing
Using the ISO/IEC accreditation standards and information provided during the class, participants will review the basic concepts of procedure structure, content, and development; will practice developing Standard Operation Procedures, both technical and administrative; and will gain an understanding of the mechanisms needed to control, review, and update procedures on a continuing basis.
COURSE CONTENT:
During the course, the following topics will be discussed and practiced:
- Overview of Procedures - purpose, uses, and nomenclature;
- Approaches to Procedure Structure;
- Knowing your Audience;
- Content Development; and
- Procedure Control, Revision, and Disposition.
PREREQUISITE:
A general knowledge of the accreditation standards, as well as basic knowledge of English grammar, sentence structure, and formatting.
TARGET ATTENDEES:
This class is designed for individuals in the initial stages of developing procedures for their management system or working to update their system to meet ISO/IEC accreditation requirements.
EXAMS:
Participants will be required to complete written activities and participate in class demonstrations and oral presentations
