ENVEA - Hardware and Software Training
In the event of an instrument fault, plant operators have the option of a Service Engineer callout or Return to Base service (for certain categories of instrument); however training can be provided for basic fault finding, such as techniques for identifying potentially compromised instrument cabling, and interpreting instrument self-diagnostic information. Training activities are specific to the ENVEA system(s) in use, and would typically include:
- Running system checks, understanding and interpreting the results
- Basic troubleshooting and fault correction procedures
- System self-diagnostic techniques and functions
ENVEA sensors are designed for reliable and rugged operation with minimal maintenance, but recognising that no instrument is `maintenance free` and taking the appropriate steps will prevent potential instrument or production downtime, increase the instrument`s lifespan, and ensure quality and repeatability of data and continuous compliance with permit and emissions limits. Training activities are specific to the ENVEA system(s) in use, and would typically include:
- Basic sensor maintenance methods
- Maintenance program
- Differences between the various levels of service and inspection
The range of software packages provided are powerful tools enabling plant operators simplified regulatory compliance reporting, with comprehensive diagnostics for process optimisation and instrument configuration. Software training is provided in consultation with the end-user to address process and regulatory specific demands and to focus on the functionality that is required, and will typically include:
- Downloading and reporting procedures
- Interpreting real-time data
- ENVEA Predict software procedures for identifying issues with the plant
- Identifying system failures
- Data analysis for process optimisation
Comprehensive onsite appreciation and system training can be provided at the time of commissioning, as part of a full turnkey installation service, or tailored to suit customer requirements. Training activities will depend on the system specification and end-user requirements, and typically includes:
- Overview of system, features and operation
- Basic cleaning and maintenance techniques
- Control unit functionality and menu navigation
- Data downloading and reporting procedures
- Installation check
ENVEA run a regular and ongoing series of webinars, designed to promote knowledge transfer and to address present and arising issues faced by plant operators.
