Internal Auditing
This course practices the internationally-recognized approaches of ISO 19011:2011-Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems to conducting effective internal audits. The techniques learned promote the involvement of laboratory personnel. The course includes easy-to-implement methods for continual improvement and preparing for external assessments to ISO/IEC 17025:2005-General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
COURSE CONTENT:
- Identifying ISO/IEC 17025 requirements related to internal audits;
- Planning and conducting internal audits within laboratories;
- Auditing principles and techniques;
- Composing audit reports and findings; and
- Required skills of an internal auditor.
PREREQUISITE:
Experience working in a laboratory setting.
TARGET ATTENDEES:
This course is appropriate for all laboratory staff who participate or plan to participate in the internal audit of a laboratory`s management system.
EXAMS:
There is no exam for this course.

Upon successful completion of this course, attendees will be able to:

- Design programs for performing internal audits;
