IOSH Managing Safely Training
The aim of this course, which aims to provide basic occupational health and safety competence for managers in all organisations, is to ensure that managers take occupational safety requirements seriously, that these managers review the systems in their departments in terms of occupational safety and that they implement new controls or changes as appropriate for their own workplaces.
Who is Education For?
IOSH Managing Safely training is for people who are not occupational health and safety professionals who need to manage occupational safety risks and resources. However, it may be useful for occupational safety personnel to attend.
Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the course, the manager will be better able to:
- Apply basic management principles and practices to occupational health and safety issues as part of a total management strategy.
- To determine achievable occupational health and safety targets and plans, and to follow the necessary courses of action to achieve these targets.
- Be aware of occupational health and safety hazards present in the workplace.
- Conduct and record basic assessments of risks related to workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Taking into account risks arising from ergonomic factors.
- Ensure that adequate information, training and supervision are provided for employees.
Investigating an incident involving accident, injury or damage to determine its causes and take appropriate action.

3 days (Compressed intensive training)
Certification
By successfully completing a short answer test and a practical workplace assessment, the participant receives an IOSH accredited certificate.
