Live Web DOH Biomedical Waste Management Training
Biomed Medical Compliance offers a comprehensive live virtual training course on biomedical waste management, in accordance with the State of Florida Chapter 64E-16.003(2)(a) of the Florida Administrative Code. This course provides essential training for all employees handling biomedical waste, including initial training for new facilities and annual refresher courses for existing ones. The training covers crucial topics such as definition and identification, segregation, storage, containment, labeling, transportation, decontamination of spills, contingency planning, documentation, recordkeeping, and treatment. Conducted via Microsoft Teams by an OSHA authorized trainer, the training session is one hour long and includes a virtual DOH walkthrough, a checklist, monitoring, updated manuals, training certificates, reports on findings, recommendations, and telephone support. The course is designed to cater to both new hires and existing employees, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
In accordance with the State of Florida Chapter 64E-16.003(2)(a) of the Florida Administrative Code, “All employees handling biomedical waste must receive annual training on the management of biomedical waste.” and new hire employees must receive training "prior to the commencement of duties related to biomedical waste handling"
