Lone workers make up around 20% of the UK workforce and according to the British Safety Council’s Crime Survey released in 2018, as many as 150 lone workers are attacked either physically or verbally every day in the UK. That equates to about 54, 750 lone workers being attacked every year. The NNTC’s in-house lone working training course raises awareness of the potential dangers associated with working alone and the practical steps that can be taken to avoid reduce or manage them.
