Training is an important part of Optimarin’s service offering, as we recognize that training is a key element in ensuring that dedicated crews can operate the OBS in a safe manner, and as an integral part of the ship’s operations, and further that service engineers can accommodate our customers with respect to commissioning of the BWTS and perform other service jobs.

Technical course (C2)

Course aims to give the learner knowledge on all Optimarin components. The course will give the learner a comprehensive understanding of the components function and its role in the Optimarin ballast system.

Duration 60 min

Operational course (C3)

Course aims to give the learner knowledge on how to plan, operate and act in various scenarios when using the Optimarin Ballast System (OBS). The course will give the learner a comprehensive walkthrough of normal operational procedures, emergency procedures and contingency measures.

Duration 45 min

Service and Maintenance course (C4)

Course aims to give the learner knowledge on routines, service and maintenance on the Optimarin Ballast System (OBS). The course will give the learner a walk through of our service and maintenance matrices, troubleshooting, maintenance instructions, spare parts and calibration of sensors.

Duration 20 min

Course diploma

Once the user has viewed all the training material, and passed the exam, the user will be awarded with a course diploma.

The purpose of such training is to ensure that crew, ship owners/managers with e.g. fleet agreements have a good understanding and overview of both the system, its operating, maintenance and training requirements. This will ensure a good user experience for the operators of the system.
