OSHA Training CD: Recordkeeping and Writing a Safety Plan

The current Federal OSHA administration is taking steps to require employers to create and enforce Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, what they refer to as I2P2. These training CDs will cover information on OSHA Recordkeeping Compliance and how to write a safety plan that complies with OSHA requirements.

About the Instructor:

Don Dressler, has 40 years’ experience in safety, workers` compensation and human resources. He is a Consultant on insurance and risk management issues on workers compensation insurance and safety. Mr. Dressler is also an Attorney focusing on employment and human resources issues, accident investigations and OSHA compliance and workers` compensation defense. A former CEO of a workers` compensation insurer, he is admitted to the California Bar and the Federal Courts. A graduate of Stanford Law School has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BA from Kansas State University. He is author of California Office Safety and How to Write Your Company`s Safety Plan. He is Safety Group Manager for 3,500 legal and financial firms in California and also advises individual clients.

Module 2 : OSHA Record Keeping Compliance (60 Minutes)

This OSHA Recordkeeping training will cover critical aspects of OSHA recordkeeping and its requirements, to be compliant with OSHA regulations.

  • Criteria to use in determining whether and injury or illness should be reported on the OSHA Log.

  • Techniques to assure that the information contained in the logs remains confidential.
  • How to calculate injury and illness rates for their workplace?

About the Instructor:

Dr. Kenneth S. Weinberg , B.A., M.Sc. Ph.D. is an independent consultant who has worked as the Director of Safety in a large teaching hospital in the Boston Area. Both as a consultant and as a safety director, he has dealt with the issues of accurately recording and reporting injuries and illnesses, and has had first hand experience in dealing with OSHA. He has alsom written several books on the topic of safety and dealing with OSHA.
