In this module we`re going to take a look at a very common problem in HPLC - extra peaks and contamination. What we`ll see is that these types of problems come from a huge range of potential sources, making the problem much more complex than it often appears, with the associated difficulty in identifying the source of the problem. We`ll look at the main types of contamination, the potential sources, defining the problem and main types of investigational re-analysis. The module is supplemented by real life case study workshops, in which you have a virtual HPLC that allows you to select what additional investigations you`d like to perform.
