Understanding the Principles of Rubber Bonding

SHARE
All too often the bond between rubber and substrate in a component fails during service. In order to achieve the best possible bonds between rubber and various substrates and to give the product long service life, no single method can be used in all situations. The rubber type and compound, substrate and preparation, processing and application method, part design and service environment all affect the bond strength. This course is designed to provide an understanding of the principles and requirements for satisfactorily bonding rubber to materials such as; metals, plastics, textiles, and other elastomers.
