Wetland Monitoring Techniques Training Courses

This online program will present the latest state of the science protocols for monitoring and managing wetland communities. These methods are used for both constructed wetland mitigation projects as well as existing wetland habitats. These techniques include the use of US Army Corps of Engineers, US EPA and many State and University developed procedures. This class is offered online and includes discussions, presentations, field assignments, and other course-related activities. You can use a local wetland site for your field assignments so there is no need to travel far to complete this program.

Many of the weekly topics include the discussion of monitoring equipment; however, you do not need to purchase these to complete our course. For example, we will provide sample well data for the assignments related to groundwater monitoring. Alternatively, if you do have access to monitoring equipment you can use these to complete your assignment. You are encouraged to submit your “real” data as part of the assignment. This is a fantastic way to get practical hands-on experience with a real project while having us look over your shoulder.

Schedule
Each workshop topic can be completed in about 3-4 hours. This class is offered entirely online as a virtual classroom experience. However, this is an instructor lead class and our instructors stand ready to help you with any questions or clarifications you may have.
