Winter Wetland Trees Online Workshop
Trees are one of the most reliable indicators of wetland vegetation. They represent the ongoing hydrologic regime despite seasonal variations of the weather. The problem is how do you go about identifying wetland trees when the leaves are all gone? The good news is that trees can be identified by more than just their leaves! You can watch the presentations anytime on-demand and participate in the interactive classroom discussion sessions. Access to the presentations and discussions will remain active for 120 days. Workshop Information
The workshop will have 4 presentations and there will be assignments for each, responses to discussion questions and a final at the end of the workshop.

This workshop will present the tips, tricks, and techniques for identifying a tree’s species, by bud, twig, bark, pith and bundle scars. We will examine some of the more common wetland trees found east of the Rockies. Using real winter samples collected in the field we will get you ready for this winter’s wetland delineations.
