Workplace Health and Wellbeing
Our training can help you improve workplace health and wellbeing skills across your business. Workplace Health Champions: The programme has four units, each focusing on different areas of healthy living and promoting positive health behaviours. The WHC programme will help champions identify how people fall into unhealthy practices, the personal and social consequences of these behaviours and how to improve the health of others around them by providing help and support.

Over two days you will cover:
- Why health inequalities exist and how they can be addressed
- The principles of health promotion
- How to research local health facilities
- How to communicate health improvement messages effectively
The programme will give delegates a better understanding of how inequalities in health may develop and what the current policies are for addressing them.
It will cover foundation principles of promoting health and wellbeing, and an understanding of how to communicate health messages effectively. This programme can also be delivered or supported by e-learning.
Who is it for?
It is useful for employers and organisations of all types and sizes to support a healthy workforce, and is particularly helpful for front-line staff intending to develop their role as health champions in the workplace, community or other settings.
The programme will give delegates the knowledge, confidence and skills to support individuals who are thinking of making a health behaviour change.
The programme will cover the importance of effective communication in building rapport with individuals, how to work with individuals to increase their motivation to make a behaviour change, and explore the factors that hinder and facilitate that change.
It will cover brief interventions models such as, Making Every Contact Count, look at how to develop an action plan with individuals to make and sustain behaviour change.
