How does a DAF system work? Santiago Salcedo, CEO of Toro Equipment shows us an Anaconda FRC90 dissolved air flotation unit. The dissolved air flotation unit removes suspended solids, fats and oils from the water using air microbubbles. The water-solid separation is achieved by releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in the DAF. This dissolved air flotation unit has a flocculator pipe that incorporates sampling and injection points for the coagulant and flocculant. With the flocculator, it improves the performance of the float thanks to its exclusive air injection system integrated into the flocculator itself. The daf units manufactured by Toro Equipment are made in GRP and are designed to treat flow rates from 2m3/h to 600 m3/h.
