Advanced water treatment equipments for deionization

by Advanced Equipment and Services, Inc. (AESINC)     based in Coconut Creek, FLORIDA (USA)

Deionized water, also known as demineralized water (DI water or de-ionized water; can also be spelled deionised water), is water that has had its mineral ions removed, such as cations from sodium, calcium, iron, copper and anions such as chloride and bromide. Deionization is a physical process which uses specially-manufactured ion exchange resins which bind to and filter out the mineral salts from water. Because the majority of water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces a high purity water that is generally similar to distilled water, and this process is quick and without scale buildup. However, deionization does not significantly remove uncharged organic molecules, viruses or bacteria, except by incidental trapping in the resin. Specially made strong base anion resins can remove Gram-negative bacteria. Deionization can be done continuously and inexpensively using electrodeionization.

Online Monitoring for the Demi-Water Production Industry

by AppliTek NV - Environmental Analysis Division     based in Nazareth, BELGIUM

Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts as well as organic impurities from water by means of ion-exchange and can be found in various industries such as the chemical, food & beverage, irrigation and filtration industries. The consuming side of the industry relies on ever increasing quality and availability of demi-water while the manufacturers have to balance cost/output. AppliTek provides high quality analytical tools to increase process efficiency and quality control. Continuous measurements with high accuracy are carried out on the critical QC/QA parameters of the deionizing process:

  • Silica
  • Low sodium
  • Total Organic Carbon

Innovative pump technology for cooling and refrigeration industry

by EDUR-Pumpenfabrik Eduard Redlien GmbH & Co. KG     based in Kiel, GERMANY

Transporting cold liquids in cooling and refrigeration systems places high requirements on the pump used. For reliable, constantly high pump performance the pump has to be designed accordingly, dimensioned specifically for the application and fitted with special equipment for the low temperatures.
