  • PEHD membrane sealing systems for basins

For reasons of environmental protection, basins often need to be leakproof, e.g. seepage basins on landfill sites. However, it can also be important to ensure, for example, that valuable water does not escape into the subsoil undetected.

By ELD Environmental Leak Detection GmbH based in Berlin, GERMANY.

  • Civil engineering applications

Civil engineering jobs in water are typical for Watermaster Classic. Watermaster is ideal when e.g. embedding cables and pipes in the bottom and it can also do other kinds of maintenance work effectively. The harder the conditions are, the greater Watermaster`s advantages compared to other technologies. The machine moves to the site with its own propulsion system and remote controlled spuds give proper anchorage for steady and efficient excavating work as well as for cable mounting.

  • Odour measurement on industrial sites like waste water treatment plants (WWTP), landfill, compost plant...

CairNet is a simple and efficient way to monitor processes and plant surroundings via a wireless communicating network and autonomous (solar panel and battery). CairNet surveys fugitive emissions of toxic gases or odourous gases around waste water treatment plants (WWTP), allowing you to react quickly to gas leaks. CairNet allows the wireless survey of hundreds of measurement points within a 200m radius of the wireless receiver for a much efficient installation cost. Cairpol systems can be used for fugitive emissions and odour measurement on industrial sites like waste water treatment plants (WWTP), landfill, compost plant, along a street or motorway, or in any sensitive area. • Membrane Filtration for Stormwater Treatment

As most tropical countries face unpredictable rain falls, building sites have to be managed differently. In Singapore an effective Erosion Control Measure (ECM) was required at a building site, in order to treat the storm water before discharging it to the public drain.

  • Cover and Liner Systems for Rainwater Collection

Rainwater collection is a huge expense, particulary in the southeast and lower midwest where rainwater becomes a mayor operational expense.   The rainwater can be pumped off-site or collected in a separate pond or lagoon.

  • Waste Treatment for Sludge

Town development provokes an increase in the number of used-water treatment sites. In turn, these factories generate silt which must be treated. Therefore, MENART develops and equips silt treatment purification stations with: Corridor turners for silt drying. Sludges mixers with green waste coupled to a sieve. Green waste shredders. Jigger-mixers. Once treated, these sludges can be spread to enhance farming.

  • Blowers for waste water treatment

Usage here can vary greatly, from small waste water treatment plants (WWTP`s), serving just 2 - 5 population equivalents, up to much larger sites which treat the waste from cities with many thousand population equivalents

  • Groundwater Monitoring for Construction Sites

All construction affects groundwater and a water management plan will be required. From deforestation to urbanisation, from holes to heaps and dams to drains, they all have an affect on the groundwater. Deforestation causes an increase in the rate of run off of rainwater resulting in lower percolation of precipitation into the soil and a consequent increase in soil erosion leading to slope instability, hence land and mud slides. The increased rate of run off can cause small streams and large rivers to rise and flood in a shorter time, but also to dry up sooner. These conditions cause great difficulties for subsistence farmers in developing countries. Urbanisation also causes faster run off because of the non permeable surfaces such as roads, roofs and car parks. This also creates drainage problems that can lead to contamination and erosion of natural water courses.

  • Wind or solar powered sewage treatment plants

Use natural air currents for aerobic sewage treatment via venting pipes. Alternatively, they can be solar powered using a very low energy 12 Volt fan. The FILTERPOD requires no electricity for the treatment process. They finally allow modern, high quality sewage treatment for all regions of the world, even for off-grid locations.
