The engineering sector produces a huge quantity of waste, with much of it unable to go to landfill in its current state. In addition, much of this waste can be re-used and recycled; providing a far more sustainable option. Many items classed as waste, such as filter cake, can have precious metals extracted from them, offering potential rebates for engineering customers and off-setting the costs of waste management.
