Water treatment solutions for urban water treatment sector - Water and Wastewater - Water Treatment
Drinking water sources such as groundwater, reservoir water, late or pond water are open to contamination and hence require appropriate treatment to remove disease-causing agents. Public or Municipal drinking water systems use various methods of water treatment to provide safe drinking water for their communities. The typical steps involved are Coagulation and Flocculation, Sedimentation, Filtration and Disinfection.

What can Pristine Water offer you for your Urban Water Treatment Plant:
At the Disinfection stage of water treatment, which is the final stage before distribution, Pristine Water Electrochlorination systems help to generate sodium hypochlorite solution and dose the same to removes all pathogenic microorganisms from the water. This has two aims:
- the bactericidal effect (killing of germs, parasites, bacteria, and viruses)
- the remnant effect (prevent recontamination)
When treated water is to be distributed over a long distance, there are chances of water recontamination due to repumping in pumping stations. Hence it is highly recommended to re-chlorinate the water at these pumping stations. The treated water while leaving the treatment plant will have residual chlorine of 1 to 2 ppm. But the same gets depleted when the water travels over a long distance unless the water is re-chlorinated it can not be pumped to places further away. Because the bacteria pick up will happen and the water will get re-contaminated. To prevent recontamination of water chlorine has to be injected.
Pristine Water offers the best sodium hypochlorite generator which produces the required disinfectant from common salt and electricity even at remote locations to take care of disinfection.
