Integrated Ice Blasting Unit (IIBU)

All of us at Coulson Ice Blast are proud to update you on the development our new Integrated Ice Blasting Unit (the IIBU) which will be used to facilitate wet ice (ice cubes) media delivery for use in automated robotic deburring and/or deflashing.

The IIBU will open a lot of doors for companies by providing them the ability to perform “lights-out” industrial cleaning operations of products and machinery. It will also allow companies to develop custom solutions for integrating industrial cleaning processes in assembly lines or in any form of production or maintenance operations. The doors get blown open for engineering solution possibilities, and the IIBU is the first step to allowing those ideas to come to fruition.

In 2020 Coulson Ice Blast entered into a partnership with KUKA Robotics with the goal of incorporating CIB wet ice blasting technology into KUKA Robotic automation technology for the purpose of automating tasks. (i.e. - deburring and/or deflashing) in an assembly line configuration.
