The ECHA Scip solution from Compliance XL
The SCIP Database is similar to ECHA database of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in articles or in complex objects (products) established under the Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC). Any company that is supplying or intend to supply any product containing an SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) on the Candidate List Substances with a concentration more than 0.1% in weight in the European market are required to submit detailed information on the articles to the ECHA SCIP database from January 5th, 2021 onwards. At ComplianceXL, we provide comprehensive documentation and reporting solutions that enable
companies to meet the ECHA SCIP database reporting obligations and simplify ECHA SCIP dossier management.
The ECHA SCIP solution from Compliance XL enables companies to:
• Implement a centralized platform to manage product information that is ready to be submitted to ECHA’s SCIP Compliance system.
• Ensure correct identification of articles containing SVHC substances and validation, as needed.
• Make products and materials accessible throughout the entire lifecycle for all stakeholders.
• Ensure critical information is made available to waste operators and customers.
Compliance XL provides integrated SCIP Compliance solutions that enables clients to easily manage key information on some of the following points which include:
• Identification of the article
• Safe use of information
• Concentration of the substance of concern
The description of the article or the complex object should be in the first section. In this section 7 fields are mandatory to be filled out of 14 fields. The mandatory information includes the categorization of the article or complex product and the safe use information.
The details of substance of concern should be in the second section. If the article within a complex object has the substance of concern above 0.1%, the details must be provided. In this section there are five mandatory categories out of the eight. Important information that must be provided in SCIP Report is the category of the material or the mixture containing the SVHC. This enables the identification of relevant materials based on its waste streams echa scip database
