TripleW produces high-value biomaterials from food waste, for the circular economy. Founded in 2015, 3PLW is an R&D biotech company backed by Hutchison-Kinrot which is owned by Hutchison Water, a division within the international conglomerate CK Hutchison Holdings limited. 3PLW develops a bioprocess for production of 100% recycled bioplastic utilizing organic waste as feedstock. Current market adoption of bioplastic is hindered by the costs associated with purchase of feedstock sugar derived from major crops. By utilizing waste as feedstock and revenue source, the company can significantly decrease production costs of bioplastics.
