Our laser cells enable to create individual tread profiles and sidewall designs in cured tires. The process replaces the time-consuming manual carving of tire prototypes, which is still common today, and thus shortens development cycles and cost in tire development.
4JET - Manual and Mobile Laser Cleaning System
Contact-free laser cleaning is a superior alternative to many conventional cleaning technologies in industrial manufacturing and maintenance. Laser cleaning is non-abrasive to the surface, environmentally friendly and works at almost neglectable consumable cost. 4JET - Laser Tire Uniformity Correction System
Our LUC systems enable digital, precise and non-contact reworking of tire beads to improve uniformity. In the process, material is removed from the rim seat by precise laser machining. The new process optimizes tire performance and replaces mechanical reworking with grinding processes. Cycle times depend on tire dimensions and the volume to be removed from the bead. The machines operate fully automatically and, thanks to their compact design, can be integrated into the conveyor system in the final finish of a tire plant.
SCANNECT - 2D Code Reading Bridge
The SCANNECT 2D Code Reading Bridge is a system for automated reading of 2D codes on tires which are being moved by a conveyor system. With an optimized camera and lighting setup and intelligent software, the reading bridge can reliably read black codes on black surfaces. This makes it the ideal choice for reading SCANNECT codes on tires, for example in automated wheel assembly lines or tire manufacturing.
4JET - Desktop Grading Station (DGS)
The Desktop Grading Station (DGS) allows an assessment of the legibility of laser engraved QR-Codes on tires. While the grading feature available in the DGS and in the 4JET T-MARK laser engravers performs a grading procedure based on ISO/IEC 29158 and adapted to the special situation on tires, the additional so-called “Legibility-Grading” of the DGS evaluates the approximated overall legibility of said code under different lighting conditions. To achieve this, many different lighting conditions are simulated and graded. By analysing the code quality of those results, a value for the legibility of the code is deduced.
