MIRAB Butterfly valves are used for fluids such as raw water, drinking water, waste water, compressed air and neutral gases at temperatures up to 70° C and are designed with flow optimization to ensure minimum effects on the flow when the valve is open. This ensures that the whole system can be operated, with the lowest possible head loss coefficient. The valve discs of MIRAB butterfly valves are supported in the body with double eccentricity and Low friction bearings provide maximum radial support for higher shaft loads.

This valve is equipped with a bypass system and an on/off valve. bypass system is used for connecting both side of the disk for special applications . The usual diameter of bypass valve is approximately 1/10 of nominal diameter of main valve . For installation of bypass the face to face of the main valve is increased.

Knife type gate valves are designed for top performance and a long maintenance free lifetime. They can be found in various industries. The stainless steel knife gate valve is a highly precise manufactured valve, designed for a tight closure of mainly mediums with a more heavy consistency. Its knife-like edge cuts through heavy or high viscous fluids. Knife edges are machine chamfered to reduce packing wear. The brass stem nut makes opening and closing the valve smooth and speedy, with low torque requirements. Knife gate valves can be mounted as “wafer type” between two pipe flanges. Because of its special design there is very little friction between the moveable parts and the body.

Mirab produces socket type gate valves for casted pipes, for PVC pipes, and for PVC pipes with clamps. They are used for closing and opening fluid flow. The gate valves, soft sealing type, can be used for fluids up to 70°C such as potable water and untreated water, as well as compressed air per Certificate DVGW-G260 (Other media on request).
