Recommended Use: Super Mini boom are recommended as sweeping devices to aid in the removal of oil on water when a prevailing wind or current does not exist or does not prevent efficient removal. The Super Mini Boom is deployed around the oil and then moved to reduce the coverage area, increasing the oil thickness for more efficient recovery by a vacuum hose or floating skimmer. Super Mini boom are effective containment devices on small streams, creeks, stock ponds and low water areas.

When deployment is necessary for large lakes, bays, or harbors we recommend our 8” Oil Spill Containment Boom. Capable of withstanding tidal flows, open water, and currents, this containment boom is perfect for large bodies of water and close-shore ocean areas. When tidal flows are present, a 3/8” chain ballast is recommended.

As a standard containment boom, the Mark I is a sturdy, economical boom for general purpose and industrial use. This particular design is considered to be the best boom for most applications. It is chosen for normally calm, inland waters and ports with low current velocities, as well as slips, canals and holding ponds. It has the capabilities required to contain a spill and the physical characteristics to last a long time. Our unique double seals allows for smoother contouring in action, and easier retrieval and folding. The cylindrical flotation gives higher buoyancy and reduces or eliminates splash-over.

A4 Contain-It Boom- A “miniature” of our standard boom design and made for multiple uses, rough handling and limited storage space. This boom can be deployed by one person. It is ideal for Firefighters and Marinas.

Recommended for small lakes, ponds, and areas protected from strong currents and high winds. It is excellent for sea wall construction due to light weight which makes it easier to deploy and remove than heavier silt barriers.

ACME offers a complete line of oleophilic disc skimmers for removing floating hydrocarbons in a wide variety of accidental spill or industrial water treatment applications. These disc skimmers are extremely durable skimming systems combining oil collection devices and a recovered oil pump into one, single-point lift unit –intended for the tougher recovery of medium and viscous crudes.

ACME drum skimmers are designed for both portability and extreme durability on the toughest jobs. Various 18` diameter oleophilic drums are capable of recovering hydrocarbons at rates of up to 200 gallons per minute. Models range in drum length from 12` to 48`. The easily deployable unit is ideal for inland and marsh spills, since it is capable of operating in extremely shallow waters. Both air-driven and hydraulic-driven models are available.
