So successful is our approach that we are increasingly engaged by local planning authorities to conduct stakeholder workshops on their policy development. Adams Hendry is a registered Assessor member of the Institute of Environmental Assessment and management (IEMA), an independent body that monitors and assesses the quality of UK Environmental Statements. We have a proven track record of co-ordinating and integrating multi-disciplinary teams of consultants, undertaking environmental assessments cost effectively from project concept through detailed design to construction and operation. We have a thorough understanding of current UK Environmental Impact Assessment legislation and guidance. We undertake environmental assessment work in accordance with current best practice guidelines that we are constantly seeking to improve through our in-house expertise and through practical experience.

The team at Adams Hendry has considerable experience of acting as the expert town planning witness at public inquiries and assisting clients and legal advisors in the preparation and running of inquiries. As an expert witness our role is fundamental to either making the case for a proposal or ensuring that policy supports our clients requirements. Issues on which evidence is regularly given include the need for the project and the alternative proposals that have been assessed in project development.

Our strong in-house graphics expertise backs up our technical planning, minerals, waste, transport and environmental skills. The challenge is to present complex ideas and processes through graphic representation. In order to achieve our goal of clear, precise, professional presentation, we invest in the latest technology and offer a wide range of design skills. Industry standard publishing software gives us the flexibility to produce high quality environmental statements, leaflets and documents inclusive of plans, drawings and photographs.
