AIS - Base Plate Settlement System

The Base Plate Settlement System is utilized in monitoring vertical settlement in the foundations of dams and embankments, particularly in scenarios involving unconsolidated sand, silt, or clay foundations. AIS - Building Settlement Point for Structural Monitoring

The building settlement point, model AIS 701, is constructed from mild steel rod with a 12mm diameter and features a spherical ball on the top. It is available in various diameters and lengths according to specific requirements. These settlement points are integral for monitoring structural settlement and are installed by drilling a small hole into the structure and securing the point with cement or epoxy to ensure it remains firmly attached while allowing for movement detection. Measurements are taken using digital levels or total station devices along with staff for precision. Key specifications include a diameter of 10mm for the threaded part, 12mm for the plain part, and 18mm for the ball. The length is 60mm for both the threaded and plain parts and 18mm for the ball. The material used is mild steel with a nickel coating for durability.
