Marine-Borehole Passive Electrode Cable
AGI’s marine and borehole passive electrode cables are waterproof, multi-conductor cables used for resistivity, induced polarization (IP) and self-potential measurements. They require the use of the Multi-Electrode SwitchBox or Multi-Electrode Switchbox Grid when more than 4, 7, 9 or 11 electrodes are used depending on the SuperSting version. The marine and borehole passive electrode cables are designed stainless steel or graphite electrode takeouts (U.S. Patent 6,674,286) encapsulated in polyurethane that is chemically bonded to the outer cable jacket. Unlike the unreliable connections made by cheaper thermoplastic injection molding cables, the chemical bond in our cables creates a water resistant electrode. This means that you can survey in liquid environments without gathering noisy data caused by poorly insulated cables.
Switch Box Grid
A Switch Box with a grid of sealed connectors for custom electrodes. The all new Switch Box Grid is used to connect electrodes using wires terminated with banana plugs. The Switch Box Grid is available for the SuperSting WiFi and the SuperSting R8 models, it is not compatible with the SuperSting R1 instrument.
SuperSting Wi-Fi - Earth Resistivity Monitoring - Induced Polarization Imaging - Self-Potential Portable Instrument
The SuperSting Wi-Fi is a next-generation electrical resistivity meter and induced polarization (IP), and self-potential (SP) system, used to scan and image the subsurface of the earth and visualize the results in 2D slices or 3D volumes. The fully automated SuperSting has been thoroughly field-tested on every extreme environment on earth, utilized in over 700 peer-reviewed journal articles, and provides the highest accuracy and lowest noise levels in the industry.
MiniSting - Model Rapide R17S - Electrical Resistivity Meter
The MiniSting R1 is a high-powered, induced polarization (IP) and electrical resistivity instrument used for testing grounding grids, soil resistivity testing for corrosion protection design, and more. This single-channel tool is engineered to be the best tool for manual resistivity jobs—ease of use, low cost, and high accuracy make it ideal for low-manpower explorations and educational and training demonstrations.
PowerSting - High Powered External IP Transmitter
The PowerSting system is a series of external high-power transmitters—5-kilowatt, 10-kilowatt, and 15-kilowatt—specifically engineered for the SuperSting instrument. The PowerSting system is a fully programmable constant voltage/constant current source. It is available with an SGS generator and a wireless repeater box. The system operates in both wired and wireless modes to make collecting data remotely simple and safe—operators don’t need to be close by to run the PowerSting.
SuperSting - AC/DC Power Supply for Earth Resistivity Monitoring Instruments
The SuperSting AC/DC Power Supply is used with a motor generator (not included) to power the SuperSting Wi-Fi system. We recommend the the Honda i1000 generator, as it is available in many hardware stores around the world. With half a gallon (1.9 liter) of gasoline, the Power Supply will keep the SuperSting running all day long.
SuperSting - Model R8 - Adapter Box for Earth Resistivity Monitoring Instruments
Rapid SP measurements with the SuperStingR8 Wi-Fi. SP on 8 channels and multi-electrode AGI Switch Box or Dual-Mode cables. Receiver Test to test SuperStingR8 functions and calibration. IP Test load to test SuperStingR8 induced polarization measurements. Connect remote or infinity electrode wire when needed for deeper exploration depth. Connect single conductor wire to the ABMN ports for VES/1D/manual resistance tests (wenner 4 pin, schlumberger and Fall Off Potential Tests, etc).
PowerSting - High Powered Transmitter Electrodes for High-Power Induced Polarization (IP) / Resistivity Tomograph
y. PowerSting Transmitter Nodes make it possible to automatically inject a high power (max 3,000 V, max 12 A, max 15 kW) DC current into the ground along a survey line.
Multi Electrode Switch Box for Seepage Monitoring
AGI’s Multi-Electrode Switch Box is an accessory to the SuperSting Wi-Fi. It allows the SuperSting Wi-Fi to automatically control and switch passive electrodes connected by a passive multi-electrode cable for automatic data acquisition in 2D, 3D, and 4D surveys. The rugged and sealed design makes it ideal for harsh environments like sub-surface, marine and borehole measurements, and long-term monitoring systems.
Passive Graphite Electrode Cable for Groundwater Imaging
AGI’s passive graphite electrode cable (U.S. Patent 6,674,286) is used in corrosive environments and where electrolysis—metal contact with water—can occur. Instead of thermoplastic—which is less expensive and easier to apply—we use thermoset polyurethane which ensures that our electrodes chemically adhere to the outer jacket of the cable and become completely waterproof and heat resistant. This means that you can survey in liquid environments without gathering noisy data caused by poorly insulated cables.
