Solid Waste Facilities - Leachate Lagoons
The pilot was developed to evaluate the effects of large volumes of dissolved oxygen in SLSWA`s leachate lagoon. The lagoons effluent is sent to the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority in 35,000 Gal `slugs` where it is tested, and a surcharge applied for BOD/COD readings above 1000Mg/L.
Aerobic Digestion Wastewater Treatment Plants
This pilot was formulated to assess the effects of large volumes of Oxygen in a 100,000 Gal. Aerobic Digester and to evaluate its ability to reduce both hauling and energy costs. Specifically we were looking for Total Solids reduction and increased Supernate. Other compounds tested include: TSS (total suspended solids , TP (total phosphorous), VSS (volatile suspended solids), TKN (total nitrogen), BOD 5-day, Ammonia, Total Alkalinity, PH, and Fecal Coliform. It is worth noting that the 66,000 Gals. in containment had been fully decanted by the operator, and was ready to be hauled. Two base samples were taken, then a weekly analysis for the duration of the pilot. This digester was retrofitted with a 15HP Taeration System mounted in containment, on the catwalk.
Aeration, Mixing and De-Gassing Technology
Aeration: With the highest transfer rate per ft. of depth (2.8%) our technology transfers more of what the EPA defines as a "micro-bubble" than any other method available today. In fact in a clean water test we reach maximum saturation of the entire containment after re-circulating only half of the containment through our Taeration nozzle regardless of its shape or depth. More O2 results in higher densities and faster growth rates.
