Advanced Technical Services GmbH (ATS)
Advanced Technical Services GmbH has over 40 years experience in the fields of photonics and opto-electronics, with particular emphasis on optical emission spectroscopy and optical fluorescence spectroscopy. The expertise gained over years of field work worldwide including the EU and World Bank funded projects, has allowed ATS to develop its new analytical instrumentation for laboratory applications and process control. During decades of research and development, ATS has kept its focus on simplifying analytical procedures in the laboratory, improving production efficiency and product quality, and reducing waste resulting from such procedures. ATS manufactures its own instrumentation.

About Us
The Advanced Technical Services (ATS) GmbH team consists of qualified and highly motivated professionals, who have worked together for a number of years. They form a coordinated group each contributing his/her specialised skills and ideas. With extensive exposure to diverse surroundings not only in Europe and the USA but also in the more rugged areas of the Middle-East, Africa and Asia, their wide-ranging experience has greatly contributed to the design of our instruments; it also enables them to find solutions even in difficult conditions.
Advanced Technical Services GmbH is currently the leading company in the field of High Performance Flame Photometry (HPFP™), and Advanced Fluorometry. These instruments are unique in so far as the data processing power is based on 21st Century cellular phone technology with simultaneous multi sampling per second. These instruments are optimised to save time in analysis and data management.
ATS are the pioneers in having its analysers connected to the printer, computer and auto-sampler. The HPFP™ provides multi-channel simultaneous readout and is computer and auto-sampler and auto-dilutor compatible. ATS has also pioneered the ability of accurately measuring Mg using a flame photometer!
For further details of the pioneering work achieved by ATS, go to above – the menu tab ‘History’ – and click on the ‘Milestones’ tab of the drop down menu.
In recent years, the ATS Research and Development Team has expanded into developing tools that will simplify and enhance work in the laboratory to facilitate GLP and GMP procedures as well as for the ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards.
The ATS MiniSoftWin™ Software – Is an instrument specific data management software. This propriotery ATS software takes over the complete analysis routine, archives approved data, and minimises human error. A validation routine permits to generate analytical curves and use polynomials to optimise linearity. Includes direct internet data transfer. Permits a seamless hand-off analysis from sample preparation to report writing and offers password protection for each member of the laboratory.
History
Advanced Technical Services (ATS) GmbH was established in Switzerland in 1967 with the purpose of promoting scientific and analytical instrumentation.
For over 40 years, ATS has developed expertise in project implementation in the Middle-East, as well as in Africa and Asia.
Based on the many years of field work, ATS has invested, in the past 40 years, in the research and development of its own technologies, with special emphasis on optical emission spectroscopy. ATS has been typically leading the development of Flame Photometry since manufacturing it’s own units first in 1988 (Above – menu tab ‘History’ – Click on the ‘Milestones’ tab of the drop down menu). Today, these efforts result in a product line that meets the needs of the 21st century laboratory, and assists to simplify laboratory methodologies.
The ATS Analysers are being marketed internationally through a network of professional sales distributors. The ATS High Performance Flame Photometers (HPFP™) have established a solid reputation; most notably in the fields of environmental quality control, pharmaceutical, agriculture, food, petroleum, petrochemical industries, and more. The flame photometer range helps serve general applications, being in use in teaching institutions, general research laboratories and a variety of other industries.
The ATS Fluorometer range, on the other hand, is specific to uranium analysis in urine, drinking water, waste water, geology, and so on. Its performance is unique for the speed of analysis, with sensitivity down to the parts-per-trillion level.
The company’s unique proprietary technologies enable users also to meet international standards requirements such as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and IEC/ISO 17025.
ATS has always placed special emphasis on very high quality, from the time of project planning and implementation, through to completion. The instruments today continue the company’s reputation of being of high standard, approved, reliable, and are being used by many multi-national companies, and government agencies, in a variety of applications worldwide.
The most recent add on product is the new version of the ATS MiniSoftWin™ Software that has been developed to meet the requirements of the FDA Chapter 11 Electronic Signature requirements to operate a new ‘fully automated’ analyser for the simultaneous analysis of either Na, K, Li & Ca, or Na, K, Ca & Mg, that produces non-adulterated analytical results.

RoHS Certificate of Compliance Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHs)
EC directive 2002/95/EC (the RoHS Directive) restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. We have obtained from our suppliers’ the confirmation that the parts and materials supplied to us meet the RoHS Directive.
Confirmation of compliance status by our suppliers is either because the products do not contain any of the restricted substances referred to in Article 4(1) of the RoHS Directive at concentrations in excess of those permitted under the RoHS Directive or because removal of the restricted substances is not technically possible and their existence in the products at levels in excess of these concentrations is allowed as one of the particular applications listed in the Annex of the RoHS Directive. In the Directive the maximum concentration values of hazardous substances are:
- Cadmium 0.01%
- Lead 0.1%
- Mercury 0.1%
- Hexavalent Chromium 0.1%
- Polybrominated Byphenyls 0.1%
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers 0.1%
