Radiation Monitoring Service
AEIL has film badges to meet state and federal specifications for industrial, medical, dental and research applications. Construction is of durable plastic holders with maximum filtration area. High quality badges are utilized to monitor a wide range of X-Ray, beta, and gamma radiation. AEIL`s dosimetry service is accredited by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) Lab Code 100555-0. TLD Rings and Wrist Badges are available for extremity monitoring. Reports are guaranteed within 21 business days, with the average being 15 days. Due to the stress of Covid-19, turn-around time for reports may be extended. 24 hour Emergency Processing service is also available. Quarterly or annual personnel reports (NRC-5) are available in addition to dosimetry reports.
Leak/Wipe Testing Service
AEIL has complete Leak/Wipe test kits available for clients who are licensed to test their own sealed radioactive sources or surface areas, These kits are mailed to the client as required on a calendar recall basis. This is a helpful reminder to keep your records current and in compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Agreement States. General instructions are included and specific directions for unusual situations are available. A charge of $5.00 is made for each Leak/Wipe kit at the time of shipment from our office. The price schedule below determines the cost of evaluation for the number of completed Leak - Wipe test kits returned by the client and received by AEIL at any one time.
Radiation Survey Instrument Calibration & Repair Service
Calibration of all portable radiation survey meters is required by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Agreement States. AEIL provides this service utilizing National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable radiation sources and experienced personnel.
