Who We Are
For over 30 years, AGF Manufacturing has designed and produced innovative fire sprinkler products that provide an unprecedented combination of reliability, versatility, and code compatibility. In 1986, George J. McHugh III and Alan B. Gilmore introduced the revolutionary TESTanDRAIN Model 1000 single handle inspector’s test valve, which replaced the traditional test and drain loop with 17 different connections. Over the years, AGF has expanded our TESTanDRAIN line to include more size, K-factors, and connection options than anyone on the market. Since then, AGF has introduced several unique products that meet the various demands of the fire sprinkler industry and support easier maintenance and more efficient systems.
AGF began as a family-owned-and-operated business committed to quality and domestic manufacturing, and we remain that way to this day. Brothers Jim McHugh and George McHugh IV stay committed and deeply involved in AGF to ensure the continuation of quality products and service. Our TESTanDRAIN valves are Made in America, and many of our other products are made or assembled in America.
What We Do Best
At AGF, we have a passion for industry involvement and the innovation of products that solve problems in the field. Jim and George McHugh answer technical questions, provide virtual and in-person training, and man our booth at industry events so that they can stay involved with members of the industry and be aware of what innovations will better serve it.
With that mindset, AGF started with TESTanDRAIN and over the years has introduced a range of product lines, including COLLECTanDRAIN auxiliary drains, PURGEnVENT air venting valves, RiserPACK floor control assemblies, CORRinSITE corrosion monitors, Inspector'sTEST inspector’s test valves, RemoteTEST remote test and drain valves, and the TESTanSAVE test water recirculation system.
Community Involvement
Continued involvement in the fire protection industry and our community is important to us. AGF is active in many industry associations, including NFSA, NFPA, AFSA, SFPE, ASPE, and more. We attend many industry events and provide free training to support the continuing education of fire protection professionals. Our Malvern, PA location is only minutes down the street from a training center we run with General Air Products.
On the roof of our Malvern facility, we have solar panels that allow us to give back to our community with an environmentally-friendly power source.
Our Culture
As a family-owned business, AGF's culture is rooted in service, family, community, and fun. We strive to provide the best possible experience for our customers while also providing a great work environment for our team. Whether it's the AGF kickball team or tailgating at an Eagle's game, we come together to have fun outside of the office.
We also stay involved in both our local community and professional community. For example, in both 2018 & 2019, AGF put together a team for the Eagles Autism Challenge Ride to spread awareness and raise funds for autism research. In the fire protection industry, we're very involved in several industry associations. Recently, we teamed up with the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition (HFSC) on a sprinkler advocacy and education effort by contributing components and instructions for several NFPA 13 sprinkler displays. Those are only a few examples of our community involvement but know that the AGF team is one that loves to give back.
