One of our most popular specialty conferences, the Air Quality Measurement Methods and Technology Conference provides extensive coverage of all aspects of air measurement methodologies, including associated quality assurance protocols and how to use and interpret data. Sessions will also focus on the assessment of key substances of concern for humans and the environment, including criteria pollutants, greenhouse gases, and air toxics.
This virtual conference will address emerging policies and strategies for tackling climate change impacts, including mitigation, adaptation and resiliency. Other topics of interest are global GHG policies and initiatives; innovative technologies; and solutions for mitigation and adaptation. The conference will emphasize the types of climate commitments made following the 2021 COP26 meeting in Glasgow and the efforts and plans to meet these commitments at all levels, as well as advances in policies since the global 2015 Paris Accord. The event will highlight case studies and action plans to reduce and/or adapt to the impacts of climate change.
In the last five years, wildfires have devastated cities and caused loss of life, lasting health effects, and major property damage for many areas in Western North America. While we may not be able to prevent the disaster, we can build on the recent experience of others directly affected. This conference will bring together public and environmental health providers, emergency responders, experts in community recovery, and disaster cleanup professionals to present the latest tools, concepts, and approaches to help us understand the community effects of wildfire and better prepare for the future.

The connections that link environment, energy and health are as historic and direct as the 446 bridges that crisscross Pittsburgh, the city with more bridges than anywhere else in the country . The 2017 Air & Waste Management Association`s Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE) will examine how leaders in industry, government, academia, and non-governmental citizen groups work together to improve community health and protect the environment. The Pittsburgh area is a great example of the amazing improvements in environmental quality and health that can occur when these groups are bridged together. Industry in this region has evolved to a diverse portfolio of energy suppliers, manufacturing plants, medical facilities and technology companies that are harnessing energy in sustainable and innovative ways.
