AirProtekt Limited products
Honeycat - Catalytic Oxidation System
The industrial air pollution control catalysts favoured by Air Protekt comprise thin-walled honeycomb supports coated with a fine dispersion of Platinum Group Metals, impregnated into a high surface area washcoat. The Platinum Group Metal catalysts, which form the heart of a Honeycat catalytic oxidation system, are derived from well-proven autocatalyst technology and offer numerous benefits compared with rival catalytic systems.
AirProtekt - Industrial Air Pollution Control Catalysts
The industrial catalyst range includes: Standard VOC oxidation catalyst The catalyst has been developed to address the majority of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
AirProtekt - Diesel Particulate Filters
Diesel Particulate Filter consists of a filter monolith manufactured as an extruded honeycomb structure which contains hundreds of parallel channels. All the channels are plugged at alternate ends, the adjacent channels are open & closed. This gives the open face a ‘chessboard’ appearance. When the exhaust gas and soot pass down the length of each open channel the gases only can pass through the porous wall whereas the carbon soot remains trapped within the structure and therefore filtered.
AirProtekt - Regenerative Thermal Oxidation Systems (RTO)
A wide range of industrial processes generates Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) as a consequence of using organic compounds as solvents or reactive chemicals. In addition to causing localised odour problems VOCs are implicated in a wide range of environmentally damaging processes, including the generation of low-level ozone and smog. For this reason legislation has been introduced in many countries setting very low emission limits for VOCs in process exhaust gases.
AirProtekt - Non Selective Catalytic Reduction (NSCR)
AirProtekt supplies either a complete Non Selective Catalytic Reduction (NSCR) package or the NSCR catalyst for control of NOx (including N2O) emissions in reduced oxygen air stream. The catalytic reaction is based on the reaction between nitrogen oxides and a fuel to give nitrogen and water. The reducing fuel is generally chosen by site availability and price (typically natural gas, light naphtha or hydrogen). The fuel gas is introduced into the NOx process upstream where it is homogeneously mixed before entering a metal or ceramic honeycomb bed. The honeycomb substrate is impregnated with a special high temperature washcoat and various combinations of precious metals (platinum, palladium and rhodium). The maximum operating temperature for the reduction of the NOx using AirProtekt’s NSCR solution is 750°C.
AirProtekt - Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
AirProtekt supplies either the complete Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) package or the SCR catalyst for control of NOx emissions. The catalyst technologies are all well proven and supported by the highest manufacturing and quality control standards from one of the leading catalyst manufacturers in the world. The AirProtekt nitrogen oxide (NOx) removal process is a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technique that uses urea as the reducing agent. The basic reactions break down the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water. Ordinarily, the reactions require a long period of time to complete, so a suitable catalyst must be used to accelerate these reactions. The AirProtekt catalyst fulfils these requirements. Urea is used as a reducing agent because it is generally unaffected by the oxygen present in the exhaust gases and is readily available.
Honeycat - Low Solvent Concentrator System for Manufacturing Processes
The Honeycat Concentrator System is an optimium abatement plant suited to low solvent concentration and low particulate manufacturing processes. It has major advantages in low capital investment, low running costs, ease to fit into a customer’s existing process without any optimisation and lends it self to start & stop campaigns as it can be up to operating temeperatures very quickly.
AirProtekt - Dryer and Oven Exhaust Systems
As part of a complete abatement project solution AirProtekt’s process engineering team offers services to optimise dryer and oven exhausts.
